ReUnite:
Welcome to the Mycroverse @ the Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque on September 2nd!
Written and directed by Christina M. Castro, PhD, "ReUnite: Welcome to the Mycroverse"
invites you to enter into an alternate reality where mycelium flourish in symbiotic relationality with the natural world and elements. This utopian existence is soon threatened with the arrival of the alluring, yet destructive atomic mushroom race and its penchant for greed, violence and extraction to fuel its insatiable appetite. This performance provides a stirring metaphor for Western colonialism and its ongoing detrimental impact the world over, particularly on Indigenous peoples and communities, with special emphasis on nuclear colonialism in New Mexico.
*For those of you eager to attend, we are released discounted promo tickets through August 15th. Get your tickets today! Use code " EARLYBIRD10" for $10 off!

Grounded in Clay:
The spirit of pueblo pottery

I am honored to serve as a guest curator for the recently unveiled “Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery” exhibit that debuted on August 1, 2022 at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture in O’ga Pogeh, Santa Fe, New Mexico. “Grounded in Clay” is a collaborative exhibit co-produced by the School for Advanced Research and New York’s Vilcek Foundation, hosted by the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.
The launch of this unique traveling exhibit featuring over 100 historic and contemporary works in clay offers a visionary understanding of Pueblo pots as vessels of community-based knowledge and personal experience. The project gives authority and voice to the Pueblo Pottery Collective, a group of over 60 individual members of 21 tribal communities who selected and wrote about artistically or culturally distinctive pots from two significant Pueblo potter collections– the Indian Arts Research Center and the School for Advanced Research (SAR) in Santa Fe and the Vilcek Foundation of New York.
*Exhibit Location and Dates:
Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Santa Fe, 2022
The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Vilcek Foundation, New York, 2023
